Day 1 -- Arrive Mauritius

Day 2 -- Ile Aux Cerfs Tour By Speed Boat

After breakfast, Depart in a coach for a full day excursion to Ile Aux Cerfs, an emerald lagoon on the east coast. From the jetty take a Speed Boat to reach the island. Day Free to indulge in beach and water sports activities at own cost. Return to the hotel in the evening. Dinner and Overnight at the hotel.

Day 4 -- North Tour

After breakfast, Depart for a full day North Island tour: Visit the capital city - Port Louis, Place d' Arms with its French colonial buildings, the eventful Champ de Mars racecourse, the exotic Caudan Waterfront and the Pamplemousses Botanical garden. Dinner and Overnight at the hotel.

Day 6 -- South Tour

After breakfast, Depart for a full day South Island tour: Visit the Trou aux Cerfs, the crater of an extinct volcano. Also visit Grand Bassin, a natural lake at the base of volcanic crater and a pilgrimage place for Hindus and Chamarel (Colored Earth) with its vibrant hues and waterfall. Also included in the day's itinerary is the city of Curepipe where you can pick up some souvenirs. Dinner and Overnight at the hotel.

Day 7 -- Departs Mauritius

After breakfast, your tour ends and it time to say goodbye. Check out from the hotel and transfer to the airport for your onward journey.

It's Summer in Mauritius:

In the summer months, from November to April, The temperature varies from 20° C to 28° C on the Central Plateau and from 25° C to 33° C on the coast. The sea temperature approaches 27° C in summertime. The hours of daylight are approximately from 0500 to 1900 Hours in summer.

South Tour

After breakfast drive to the Glass Gallery shop, then proceed to Curepipe to the spectacular crater “Trou aux Cerfs” where one enjoys the extensive view of the island. Few minutes away there is Floreal a destination which includes a textile museum/ shopping centers/ café/ 12 duty free boutiques/Ship model factory-shops. Then you proceed to discover the unspoilt beauty of the forest where flows a sacred lake, the “Grand Bassin” (Ganga Talao) a place for pilgrimage. Enjoy the magnificent view of Black River Gorge on the way to Chamarel, the  place where the seven colour earth is found. Return back to hotel.

Ile Aux Cerfs (East Tour)

After breakfast leave for full day excursion to Ile aux cerfs Island. A speed boat will take you to an ideal place for sea lovers, which offers crystal clear water, fine golden sand and sparkling sunshine all fringed by “Filao” trees. Return back to hotel.

North Tour

After breakfast proceed for Port Louis/ view of the Citadel/ Champ de Mars/ Government House/ Harbour /Shopping in the local market. Drive through the city centre to reach “Caudan Waterfront” a commercial landmark of shops, restaurants, Craft market etc. Then proceed to Pamplemmousses Botanical Garden which has a large collection of indigenous & exotic plants & trees. Return back to hotel.

Basic Info

The island of Mauritius occupies a choice section of the Indian Ocean. It is approximately 855 kilometers off the east coast of Madagascar, Africa being the nearest continent & Mombasa some 1800 kilometers away. Mauritius is a volcanic island only 1,865 square kilometers in area. The Central Plateau reaches 800 m in altitude with the highest peak, Piton de la Riviere Noire hitting 828 m. The coastline of 330 kilometers is almost entirely surrounded by one of the largest unbroken coral reefs in the world.

People & Food :

The Population of Mauritius is 1, 150, 000 approx. It is remarkable in ethnic diversity reflected by multi - cultured society such as Indians, Africans, Chinese & Europeans. This diversity is further accentuated in the eating habits: Indian curries, muslim biryanis, Creole rougailles, Chinese sweet & sour pork, French delicacies, English bacon & egg..You name it & Mauritius has it.

Language :

The official language is English - but the most widely used are French and the local dialect, Creole. Mauritians also speak their native language such as Hindi, Chinese, Urdu, etc.

Swimming Costumes, shorts & T shirts. Do carry light woolens for the winter months of May to September.

Others

To avoid severe sunburn, adequate sun care products with UVA - filter agents should be carried. It is advisable to wear a hat and sunglasses when in the sun during the entire day, especially in the summer months when the sun's rays are scorching hot.

Visa information:

  • To visit Mauritius the validity of the Passport has to be minimum of 6 months from the date of departure from Mauritius
  • Indian passport holder gets tourist visa upon arrival for a stay up to 14 days.
  • Confirmed return air ticket is required.
  • An amount of USD 100 per person per day in form of currency/traveller’s cheques/valid international credit card should be in the traveller’s possession as a prerequisite for visa upon arrival.
  • Visa to Mauritius is FREE. There is no Visa Fees.(for Indians Only)
